LET'S KEEP THE CLEAN WATER AREA OF LAKE ISSYK-KUL
Divers from the Diving Service Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic continue their work to clear the lake of poachers' nets that pose a threat to the flora and fauna of Issyk-Kul.
This time, the divers, divided into three groups, cleared Lake Issyk-Kul from the village of Kurmontu to the village of Kuturga in the Tyup district and removed 6,900 meters of fishing nets.
It should be noted that every year in October, November, December, the fish living in Lake Issyk-Kul come to the coast to spawn. Most often, spawning occurs in some sections of mountain rivers and becomes easy prey for poachers.
Unfortunately, during the spawning period, poachers increasingly set nets, especially at night. Despite the fact that illegal fishing and poaching nets in the water affect the entire ecosystem of Lake Issyk-Kul.
