ISSYK-KUL: RESCUERS ARE ON DUTY IN DANGEROUS AREAS WHERE FLOODING IS POSSIBLE

According to preliminary information, in the Issyk-Kul district of the Issyk-Kul region, as a result of heavy rains that came down from the mountain ranges, a mudflow occurred. Roads, streets and private houses in the Toguz-Bulak section of the city of Cholpon-Ata were flooded. The Zhudomush canal overflowed its banks.

On site, the employees of the Issyk-Kul District Emergency Situations Department have set up an operational headquarters to eliminate the consequences of the bad weather. Also, the Civil Defense Services of the Ministry of Emergency Situations are clearing drainage systems of roads and eliminating blockages on rivers.

Also, several streets in the villages of Bosteri and Baktuu-Dolonotu were flooded by flood waters.

Rescuers temporarily evacuated 1 family from the village of Baktu-Dolonotu to a safe place.
