THE RESULTS OF THE XX MEETING OF THE CONSULTATIVE COUNCIL OF THE HEADS OF THE CIS STATE (EXECUTIVE) MATERIAL RESERVES BODIES HAVE BEEN SUMMED UP

Following the meeting, a protocol decision was made to continue work on implementing the provisions of the Concept of Cooperation of State (Executive) Authorities Managing State Material Reserves in the CIS Member States for the Period up to 2030 and the Plan of Key Activities for its Implementation, as well as for Further Cooperation.

Today, September 4, 2024, in the city of Cholpon-Ata, Issyk-Kul region, the 20th meeting of the Advisory Council of Heads of State (Executive) Authorities Managing State Material Reserves in the CIS Member States was completed.

During the next meeting, the participants discussed current issues of cooperation between state material reserve agencies.

The issues raised were the management of state material reserves in the context of global changes: the experience and prospects of the CIS; the state of the mobilization reserve of the Kyrgyz Republic and prospects for improving the system of state material reserves as a whole; the activities of the specialized base organization.

Also, special attention was paid to the issue of the implementation by the Advisory Council of the Decision of the CIS Economic Council of September 22, 2023 on the activities of CIS sectoral cooperation bodies in the economic sphere in 2018–2023.

Addressing the participants, Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations Major General Urmatbek Shamyrkanov noted the importance of the CIS state material reserve bodies in the timely protection of the population in emergency situations arising as a result of natural disasters, man-made disasters, the influence of social or economic factors, external conditions, as well as to ensure the functioning of the national economy in the event of martial law and for

It should be noted that the next XX meeting of the Advisory Council was held under the chairmanship of the Kyrgyz Republic.

It was attended by representatives of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan and the CIS Executive Committee.
