THREE-DAY COMMAND STAFF EXERCISES STARTED IN OSH

As part of the command and staff exercises, the forces and resources of the Civil Defense services are involved in the elimination of the consequences of emergency situations in the event of a strong earthquake.

It should be noted that from September 18 to 20, 2024, in the city of Osh, based on the Decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic dated February 9, 2024 No. 25, on the approval of the plans of the Kyrgyz Republic in the field of Civil Defense for the current year, a Republican command and staff exercise entitled “Actions of Civil Defense Services in the Event of a Strong Earthquake” is being held.

This event was organized with the aim of improving the training of management bodies and civil defense forces in the prevention and elimination of consequences of emergency situations, and the protection of the population and territories from emergency situations.

As part of the exercise, a "Drill Alert" was declared early this morning. The Osh City Civil Defense Services were put on "high alert" mode.

Over the course of three days, the city of Osh will work out an algorithm for joint actions in the event of an emergency.

Based on the results of the activities carried out within the framework of the republican command and staff exercise, conclusions will be made on the readiness of the management bodies and civil defense forces in the field of emergency prevention and response to perform their intended tasks.
