THE EPIC "MANAS" IS THE PEARL OF THE EPIC HERITAGE OF THE KYRGYZ PEOPLE

TODAY THE EPIC "MANAS" WAS PLAYED AT THE CENTRAL OFFICE OF THE MINISTRY OF EMERGENCY SITUATIONS TODAY 

On December 4, on the occasion of the Day of the epic "Manas", on the initiative of the Minister Major General Boobek Azhikeev, a yurt with traditional interior decoration, installed in the building of the Central Office of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The Manas epic was performed for several hours by narrators - manaschi Abil Sheraliev and Ulukmyrza Erkinbekov. 

The main purpose of this event is to disseminate and promote the great epic heritage of the people of Kyrgyzstan. 

Let us remind you that "Manas" is not just the largest Kyrgyz epic, it is a pearl of epic heritage of our people, a monument of its language and spirituality. It has a thousand-year history.

The epic "Manas" itself consists of 3 parts - "Manas", "Semetey" and "Seitek", it is about half a million verse lines, and its main content is the exploits of the hero Manas. The work, which is a heroic epic, tells about the life and struggle of nomadic people for independence, establishment of their statehood, peculiarities of culture, life, education and other aspects of life. Sayakbai Karalaev is considered to be the most famous narrator of the Kyrgyz epic "Manas". In the 20s of the last century, he became famous for being able to recite Manas by heart for several days in a row. It is almost 500 thousand lines about the feats and campaigns of the Kyrgyz batyr.

It is also worth noting that the epic "Manas", like any other artistic and moral heritage of every nation on Earth, is permeated with the theme of protection of good from evil, humanity and humanism, tolerance and friendship, self-improvement and love of neighbor. All these precepts have become a kind of moral program of Kyrgyzstan, on which the spiritual ideals of the state should be built.

If we look back in history, on December 4, 2013, the epic trilogy "Manas", "Semetey", "Seitek" was included by UNESCO in the list of "Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity". On this day, the trilogy of the epic "Manas" was recognized not only by UNESCO, but also by the whole world. By the Resolution of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic No. 259 of April 27, 2015, December 4 was declared "Manas Day" in Kyrgyzstan.
