THE EMERCOM OF RUSSIA PROVIDED ASSISTANCE TO THE BELOVODSKAYA SPECIAL GENERAL EDUCATION BOARDING SCHOOL

Today, November 27, the Minister of Emergency Situations, Major General Boobek Azhikeev, on the eve of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (PDD), visited the Belovodsk special general education (auxiliary) boarding school for children and adolescents in need of special educational conditions.

During the visit, the Minister warmly greeted the students and expressed satisfaction at seeing them. He asked about their progress and asked the acting director of the school, Gulzada Zhumagulova, about the level of equipment at the institution. Boobek Azhikeev inspected the premises where the children study and live, and became familiar with their living conditions and maintenance.

The head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations thanked the teachers for their work in the name of the children's future and, as a form of support, donated kitchen equipment for the school cafeteria (a two-chamber refrigerator, microwave ovens, thermoses, sets of dishes and kitchen utensils) worth 81 thousand soms.

The children prepared a festive event.

The boarding school management expressed enormous gratitude for the assistance and support provided, noting that the Ministry of Emergency Situations employees not only help people in emergency situations, but also participate in various social and charitable events.

Let us recall that on December 3, 1992, the UN General Assembly proclaimed the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. According to the National Statistical Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic, as of 2023, more than 217 thousand people with disabilities live in the republic, of which more than 34 thousand are children under 18 years of age.
