THE FUND OF STATE MATERIAL RESERVES PURCHASED A VEHICLE AT ITS OWN EXPENSE

THE FUND OF STATE MATERIAL RESERVES PURCHASED A VEHICLE AT ITS OWN EXPENSE

The State Material Reserves Fund under the Ministry of Emergency Situations has purchased a special vehicle at its own expense.

It should be noted that the fund supports the stability of the food situation in the country and regulates price stability, preventing the emergence of economic and food crises.

Minister of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic Major General Boobek Azhikeev and representatives of the State Material Reserves Fund under the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic took part in the ceremony of handing over the new vehicles.

To strengthen the technical base, 3 porters, 3 sprinters and 5 electric cars were purchased for timely delivery of food products to all regions of the republic. Also, the Fund plans to purchase additional specialized equipment in the near future.

At the event, Minister Boobek Azhikeev noted that during the conflict on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border in Batken, which occurred in 2022-2023, employees of the State Material Reserves Fund showed true patriotism, supported the victims, provided humanitarian aid to affected families and soldiers. Also, during the crisis time, the employees of the Fund provided vehicles with fuel and lubricants (tons), which evacuated people.

"I would like to emphasize that the State Material Reserves Fund was previously corrupt and many employees filled their pockets. However, over the past three years, thanks to the efforts of the country's leadership, this Fund has begun to serve the people. As a result, working conditions are improving, opportunities are being created and new equipment is being acquired," the Minister added.

The Fund uses its income to build modern warehouses. Currently, land plots have been divided in the south of the republic and construction work is about to begin. And in the north of the republic, a modern mill complex is planned to be built near the foundation's base, which will supply flour to the local population.

Also, in order to ensure quality storage of food products, all existing warehouses have been thoroughly repaired.

In order to saturate and stabilize prices in the domestic market of the republic, the State Material Reserves Fund sold wheat, sugar, vegetable oil, diesel fuel at the price set by the Antimonopoly Regulation Service. This, in turn, did not allow sellers in the market to sharply raise prices.

Currently, warehouses of responsible storage of the State Material Reserves Fund and regional state administrations sell food products at reduced prices in all regions of the country.

According to the data, the price for 1 kg of sugar is 65 soms, 1 liter of vegetable oil - 95 soms, the price of 1st grade flour - 25 soms, 2nd grade flour - 17 soms.

Also, in connection with the increase in prices for fuel oil, the Fund has purchased enough diesel fuel in advance so that rural producers could carry out spring and fall field work in time. Fuel oil is currently sold at a price below the market price. The price for 1 liter is 63.5 soms.

Along with this, due to the geopolitical situation in the world, for the last three years, such neighboring countries as Russia and Kazakhstan have imposed restrictions on the export of food from their territories.

Also due to drought associated with climate change, shortage of irrigation water in the country and abroad there was an acute shortage of food products. In this regard, the Fund of State Material Reserves under the Ministry of Emergency Situations was able to maintain food security in the country and provide food in sufficient quantities.
