THE REPUBLICAN SPECIAL EXERCISE ON PREPARATION FOR THE FORTHCOMING WINTER PERIOD WAS FINALISED

Today the republican exercise "Preparation for the winter period of 2023-2024" was completed. A special commission checked the readiness of heating networks of the Kyrgyz Republic for the heating season.

It should be noted that in order to ensure uninterrupted supply of heat to the population in the coming winter and to prevent an emergency situation, on the basis of the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, from 25 September to 6 October, the country held national exercises to prepare for functioning in the autumn-winter period.

During the exercise, all ministries and agencies that are part of the state civil protection system were put on "high readiness" mode, and a specially created commission checked the condition of all systems of Kyrgyzteploenergo at the republican, oblast, and district levels, that is: 

- operability of the catalytic boilers, their start-up, so that there would be no disruptions during the heating season.

- heat supply systems and boiler houses of local hospitals, schools, kindergartens, and strategic facilities. 

- all socially important facilities of the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Ministry of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic (hospitals, village first-aid stations, general education organizations, pre-school educational institutions), as well as other facilities of ministries and departments of the Kyrgyz Republic.

In conclusion, it was instructed to equip hospitals with a sufficient number of generators for uninterrupted power supply (without hindering the work of doctors fighting for people's lives), as well as to repair outdated boilers.

Also, in order to respond to organizations of all forms of ownership in case of emergency situations at socially important facilities, to develop the necessary measures and procedures to eliminate emergency situations in heat supply systems and to create a reserve of inventories.
