THE SIXTH JOINT MEETING OF THE BOARDS OF THE MINISTRY OF EMERCOM OF KYRGYZSTAN AND THE MINISTRY OF EMERCOM OF KAZAKHSTAN TOOK PLACE ON THE SHORE OF ISSYK-KUL
Today, August 14, within the framework of the Regional Forum - Meeting of the Heads of Emergency Situations of the Central Asian Countries, the sixth joint meeting of the boards of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held in the village of Bosteri, Issyk-Kul district, Issyk-Kul region.
The event was chaired by the Minister of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic, Major General Boobek Azhikeev, and the Minister of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Major General Chingis Arinov.
During the meeting, a report was presented on the implementation of the Protocol of the Fifth Joint Meeting of the Boards of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which presented information on the work carried out in the field of prevention and elimination of emergency situations, including issues of: cooperation in case of emergency situations in border areas; issues of developing a system of warning and informing the population in cases of emergency situations of man-made and natural origin; implementation of systems for monitoring hazardous natural processes and phenomena; increasing the effectiveness of the parties' response to emergency situations of natural and man-made origin, as well as issues of using an earthquake monitoring system based on the experience of the Central Asian Institute of Applied Geosciences.
The heads of emergency departments of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Kazakhstan discussed the effectiveness and summed up the results of bilateral cooperation in the field
prevention and elimination of emergency situations, as well as important issues such as:
- implementation of decisions of the Fifth joint meeting of the boards of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
- information about emergencies that have occurred in border areas and about the organization of interaction;
- experience in applying new methods and techniques in preventing and eliminating emergencies;
- holding the Seventh joint meeting of the boards of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Following the meeting, agreements were reached between the two countries, a Protocol was signed and relevant decisions were made.
The next seventh joint meeting of the board of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan will be held in 2026 on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
