KYRGYZSTAN AND THE UAE INTEND TO DEVELOP MUTUALLY BENEFICIAL COOPERATION
Today, October 19, within the framework of the 56th session of the MOGO Council, Minister of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic Boobek Azhikeev met with Deputy Director General of Civil Defense of the United Arab Emirates Muhammad Altkawi.
In the course of greeting, the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic noted the importance of developing cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the United Arab Emirates, indicating the readiness of the Kyrgyz side to exchange experience in a number of areas, including issues related to the preparation of joint exercises.
To date, cooperation with the Emirati side in the field of disaster prevention and response is successfully conducted within the framework of ICDO, in particular in the field of training and courses of diving and rescue services, which are held on the territory of Kyrgyzstan - emphasized the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Also at the meeting it was noted about the readiness of the two countries to actively expand relations and cooperation.
The Kyrgyz side is ready to sign a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation between the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic and the National Agency for Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management of the UAE - added the Minister.
In turn, Mohammed Altkawi thanked the Minister of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic Boobek Azhikeev for hospitality, noting the readiness to continue the development and strengthening of bilateral relations.
During the meeting, the parties discussed current issues of Kyrgyz-Emirati cooperation.
The meeting was held in a friendly and warm atmosphere.
In conclusion, Muhammad Altkawi, Deputy Director General of the Civil Defense of the United Arab Emirates, invited the Kyrgyz side to visit the UAE at any convenient time to discuss current issues of cooperation and identify priority areas of joint work.
