THE 20TH MEETING OF THE CONSULTATIVE COUNCIL OF HEADS OF STATE MATERIAL RESERVES MANAGEMENT BODIES IS HELD ON THE SHORE OF ISSYK-KUL

Today, September 3, 2024, on the coast of Issyk-Kul in the city of Cholpon-Ata, the official opening of the 20th meeting of the Advisory Council of the heads of state (executive) authorities managing state material reserves in the CIS member states took place.

It is attended by Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic, Major General Urmatbek Shamyrkanov, Chairman of the State Material Reserves Fund under the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic Bazarbai Musabekov, as well as representatives of the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan and the CIS Executive Committee.

During the meeting, Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations Urmatbek Shamyrkanov in his welcoming speech

noted the importance of the CIS state material reserve bodies in the timely protection of the population in emergency situations arising as a result of natural disasters, man-made disasters, the influence of social or economic factors, external conditions, as well as for ensuring the functioning of the national economy in the event of martial law and for the provision of humanitarian aid.

A greeting from CIS Secretary General Sergei Lebedev to the meeting participants was read out.

It should be noted that the next XX meeting of the Advisory Council is being held under the chairmanship of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The event examines current issues of cooperation between state material reserve agencies.

Following the work of the Advisory Council, the signing of documents is expected.
