AFTER STRONG WINDS, TREES FELL INTO RESIDENTIAL BUILDINGS AND CARS
Today, August 9, after a strong wind that covered the capital in the late afternoon, trees fell on 4 cars of Bishkek residents, and the roofs of 4 multi-story buildings, 1 residential building and 1 teahouse were torn off. 30 trees fell. Fortunately, no one was hurt.
Let us note that today the Ministry of Emergency Situations issued a storm warning about the upcoming strong winds in Bishkek and Chui region.
According to the Hydrometeorological Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, on August 9, 2024, from 17:49 to 19:00 (for 1 hour and 11 minutes), a storm wind was recorded in the Alamedin district, the gusts of which reached up to 26 meters per second.
At the moment, employees of the Bishkek City Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, together with employees of the Civil Defense Service, are working on site.
