The️ Regional️ Humanitarian️ Office️ of️ the️ International️ Civil️ Defense️ Organization️ for️ Central️ Asia️ and️

Ratification️ of️ the️ relevant️ agreement️ between️ the️ Cabinet️ of️ Ministers️ and️ the️ International️ Civil️

Defense️ Organization️ was️ considered️ and️ approved️ on️ January️ 24️ in️ three️ readings.

First️ Deputy️ Minister️ of️ Emergency️ Situations️ Azamat️ Mambetov️ spoke️ on️ Radio️ "Parliament"️ and️

spoke️ in️ more️ detail️ about️ the️ importance️ of️ civil️ defense️ tasks️ and️ the️ opening️ of️ the️ ICDO️ Regional️

Humanitarian️ Office️ for️ Central️ Asia️ and️ Asia️ in️ Bishkek.

He️ emphasized️ that️ the️ opening️ of️ the️ Regional️ Office️ will️ create️ conditions️ for️ coordination️ and️

improvement️ of️ activities️ of️ the️ international️ community️ in️ the️ field️ of️ prevention️ of️ natural️ and️ man-

made️ emergencies️ and️ elimination️ of️ their️ consequences.

Recall️ that️ in️ October️ last️ year️ in️ Bishkek️ under️ the️ chairmanship️ of️ Kyrgyzstan️ the️ 56th️ session️ of️ the️

International️ Civil️ Defense️ Organization️ was️ held.️ It️ was️ attended️ by️ 40️ representatives️ of️ emergency️

response️ services️ of️ 24️ countries,️ members️ of️ the️ Executive️ Board️ of️ the️ ICDO️ ️ organization,️ as️ well️ as️

the️ Secretary️ General️ of️ the️ International️ Civil️ Protection️ Organization.

The️ main️ purpose️ of️ the️ humanitarian️ office️ is️ to️ provide️ emergency️ assistance️ in️ case️ of️ any️ disaster️

in️ Central️ Asia️ and️ to️ supervise️ the️ protection️ of️ the️ population️ and️ property️ of️ the️ countries️ of️ the️

Central️ Asian️ and️ Asian️ regions.️ The️ Regional️ Humanitarian️ Office️ is️ funded️ through️ the️ International️

Civil️ Defense️ Organization.
