THE SIXTH JOINT SESSION OF THE BOARDS OF THE MINISTRY OF EMERCOM OF KYRGYZSTAN AND THE MINISTRY OF EMERCOM OF KAZAKHSTAN STARTS IN KYRGYZSTAN
Today, August 14, within the framework of the Regional Forum - Meeting of the Heads of Emergency Situations of the Central Asian Countries, the sixth joint meeting of the boards of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan is being held in the village of Bosteri, Issyk-Kul district, Issyk-Kul region.
The main objective of the meeting is
adoption of joint measures to reduce the threat of natural disasters in the adjacent territories of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.
The event is chaired by the Minister of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic, Major General Boobek Azhikeev, and the Minister of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Major General Chingis Arinov.

In 2009, an agreement was reached between the departments on the practical implementation of Kyrgyz-Kazakh cooperation in the area of prevention and elimination of emergency situations in the form of holding joint meetings of the boards, the format of which allows for consideration of issues of bilateral cooperation in various areas, discussion of problematic issues and development of effective forms of interaction in the fight against emergency situations of natural and man-made nature.
A mechanism was established for the joint use of emergency rescue, material and technical resources to implement measures to prevent and eliminate the consequences of natural and man-made emergencies.
