RESULTS OF THE MONTH-LONG CELEBRATION OF DISASTER RISK REDUCTION DAY IN KYRGYZSTAN SUMMARISED

According to the results of the month for the Day of Disaster Risk Reduction in Kyrgyzstan, held from 5 September to 5 October, the Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic for the city of Osh took first place, the Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic for the city of Bishkek took second place, and the Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic for Talas region - third place. Thus, at the annual traditional event "Өtmө Tuu" transferred to the Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic in the city of Osh.

Today in the capital, in the scientific-practical conference on the results of "5 October - Day of disaster risk reduction in Kyrgyzstan", the Minister of Emergency Situations, Major General Boobek Azhikeev solemnly presented awards to the heads of the department, who took the leading places.

According to the results of the competition, three winners were determined:

third place - a laptop printer of the latest model

second place - emergency rescue equipment "Holmatro"

first place - a car "LADA Niva Legend".

In addition, Major General B. Azhikeev presented the Republican Separate Rescue Squad of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic with a certificate for a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter car for quick and efficient professionalism in saving human lives.

Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic, Colonel Urmatbek Shamyrkanov on behalf of the Minister of Emergency Situations Boobek Azhikeev presented valuable gifts to the three rescuers who honestly fulfilled their duties and achieved success in their work.

In his speech, the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations noted that measures to prevent emergencies are aimed at reducing the risk of emergencies, as well as to preserve public health and reduce the amount of damage to the natural environment. 

In addition, one of the main measures to protect the population from emergencies is timely notification and informing about the emergence or threat of emergencies.
